Featuring the shimmering blues and greens of Labradorite, the Coral Dreams collection is inspired by the beauty and critical importance of the coral reefs of the planet in an effort to bring more awareness to this issue, not just for my island home but the impact it has on everyone on earth. Delicate branches wrap around the iridescent sheen of the stone, echoing the rippling depths of the sea. The FREEDOM//FLIGHT collection is a branch off my current body of artwork in painting and sculpture under development that explores similar themes of soaring expansion and transformation. The collection is rooted in that feeling when we find an updraft that will take us higher, helping us to soar into our next realm of possibility and evolution. Symbolism is an important aspect of this work, and feathers, wings, beaks in abstract as well as traditional forms find their way into these pieces.
